Two recent high-profile phone “designer” editions. One for the iPhone, the other a Blackberry Bold. I know, these have been around for a couple of days now, so sue me. I’m super busy. Like at least one day a week. So yea, here they are, to be honest there’s no contest, but its worth slaughtering one of them anyway.
See them after the jump.

The first is Stuart Hughes Gold iPhone. It’s a 22ct body with 53 VVS1 diamonds for the apple logo. Taking 4 craftsmen to make, it costs an epic £22,995. Even by my standards, that’s expensive. How expensive does it look? About £20. Reminds me of one of those knock off iPhones that you find in one of those “phone unlocking” shops in Chinatown. Epic fail. Check it out here.

Second up is the Selfridges Blackberry Bold. To celebrate it’s 100th birthday, it has commissioned RIM to make ten special edition Bolds with the famous Pantone 109 yellow leather back and redesigned keypad. Also comes with VIP support (maybe concierge like a Vertu?) and presumably some pointless certificate. At £1000 pounds it’s not an insane price, but by the time I will have finished writing this, they’re probably all gone. Sorry. But the Selfridges Blackberry totally looks the part, and I’d completely rag that VIP support. Win. See it here.

Definitely Selfidges Blackberry. Gold iPhone looks tacky as hell.
