I know I’ve already done something car-y today, but I just came across this. Ok. It’s a flying car. I’m no aeronautical engineer, but where exactly are the fucking wings on this thing. You seriously expect me to buy into this? More after the jump.

“The Parajet SkyCar, the world’s first bio-fueled flying car, has been under development for several years, and in January, it made a successful air voyage from Europe to Timbuktu. While finished development and testing are still in the future, you can put a down payment on your very own SkyCar today. For around $16,338 (£10,000) you can reserve a SkyCar, which is priced at $81, 700 (£50,000)”
Oh, ok, so it’s a car/paramotor type thing. But surely you’re going to have to drive off a tall pier or cliff or something to actually fly. Europe to Timbuktu in this thing? Maybe from the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. This sounds about as safe as a Casablanca boob job.
