Luxist spotted this recently.  To be honest I’ve been a bit grouchy about a bunch of stuff (site will back to full speed next week, promise) but since finding out about this, my day has got a whole lot better.  This utter assault on taste is the product of some guy called Prince Marcus von Anhalt. So, it’s a Phantom drophead, with massive rims, and an all-over multicoloured Murakami Louis Vuitton pattern.  Surely there is nothing more that could make this tackier.  There is?

Turns out “Prince” Marcus von Anhalt is Germany’s most famous (surely infamous?) brothel and nightclub owner.  Good job he bought his title then.  Apparently he bought the title Prinz von Anhalt, Herzog zu Sachsen und Westfalen, Graf von Askanien by paying Zsa Zsa Gabor and her ninth husband Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt millions of dollars to adopt him.  Every part of this story is brilliant.  Zsa Zsa Gabor?  Might as well have bribed Mayor McCheese.

Apparently he calls himself “Prince Germany” and the Phantom is part of promoting The Royal Race, a Gumball 3000 style car rally.  I swear I’ve got to get in on this.  Have a good weekend all!
