Surely there’s some tear in the fabric of space time. Henessy used to have some fucking brand equity. Since becoming the favorite of the Rap elite, Hennesy feel it’s a smart move to launch their new product, Hennesy Black (insert racially sensitive joke here) with an original song by rapper/producer Swizz Beatz. Find out more and listen after the jump.

Launching in 10 major US markets today, this is the first new product released by Hennesy since they brought out VS (a firm favorite here at Scumbag Manor) in 1961. The product launches with a black carpet bash tonight in New York, featuring a performance of Hennesy/Swizz Beatz’s song “When I step in the club”. As if it couldn’t get any more culturally irrelevant, there’s apparently a performance by “The JabbaWockeeZ” of “America’s Best Dance Crew” fame. Oh yea, and there’s a related dance contest too. How that relates to this drink I have absolutely no idea, to be honest, this whole thing feels like a cheese dream.
The funniest thing about this is that Hennesy Black is a mixer. WTF?! So you put soda or coke in it or what? Who the fuck is going to pay for that? Idiots, it’s presumed. To illustrate just how plain weird this whole thing feels, have a watch of the video to this absolute abortion of a song. After all that, I think I’m going to stupefy myself with a tall glass of Hennesy Black. Anyone got any Red Bull to go with that?
