Gordon “have some fucking bollocks” Ramsay has seemingly dropped a bollock, after The Times revealed his restaurant empire nearly hit the wall this year. It’s reported that accountants drew up plans to put the business into administration and at one point Ramsay owed the tax-man more than £7m. More after the jump.

“It was the worst bollocking ever . . . They told me I was f*****,” he said.
Auditors from KPMG found that Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) was losing millions of pounds after botching an ambitious overseas expansion plan, and was suffering from Ramsay acting like a “f****** smarmy c***”. (allegedly, lawyers)
KPMG wanted to take control of his global restaurant group, comprising 21 restaurants and pubs in London, New York, Los Angeles, Florida, Paris, Tokyo, Dubai, Ireland and Prague, to “cherry-pick the winners and say goodbye to the losers”, Ramsay said. Three of his restaurants have now closed.
Having sold his Ferrari (boo hoo) and having considered selling off his £6m London home, Ramsay admits – “It’s been very painful. It’s taken several million pounds of my own money but I’m still standing,”
But this year he’s been also dealing with allegations of a seven-year affair, had his restaurant drop out of the top 100 and had his history as a Glasgow Rangers player disputed. But none of this is going to knock him down a peg, surely. He’s still going to swagger into other people’s restaurants and slag them off on telly for not making any money. Take a look in the motherloving mirror Ramsay.
“It’s been very, very hard,” he said. “At times it felt like a witch hunt. I’ve put my hands over my face and taken the blows.” Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.
