God, Courtney Love must be the only person in the world to look worse than Kurt Cobain.  Love, widow of Kurt, sometime musician and professional disappointment has been reportedly suffering from serious mismanagement of her, and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain’s inherited estate.  Read more after the jump.

It’s alleged that the estate left to Courtney and Frances by Kurt Cobain has been “looted” by those handling the money.  Love’s lawyers are saying that more than $30 million is missing and as much as $500 million worth of real estate was bought and sold using Cobain and Love’s Social Security details.

Love’s lawyer, Rhonda J. Holmes, of Gordon & Holmes in San Diego, is quoted as saying that the case ” is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy.”  Well this sounds pretty awesome then.  I hope Rhonda is as sassy as she sounds.

Apparently the lawyers postulate that Love didn’t realise her fund was being mismanaged because she was being a huge fucking mess on smack.  I’m paraphrasing, of course.  Let’s be honest here, Courney Love is the last person in the world I’d have within grabbing distance of my money.  First, she’d buy some delicious smack with half of it, and then she’d record a terrible, terrible album with the other half.  Whilst Rhonda the lawyer says she’s “frugal”, in 2004 she admitted that her daughter’s inheritance was basically gone due to earlier mismanagement.  Gone?  Kurt Cobain left you a lot of money lady, and there’s only so much in the way of moreish drugs you can buy.  Take a break once in a while and crack out the calculator.
