Don’t get me wrong, I think this is pretty awesome, but it does cheapen Chanel a bit. Feels like there are lots of decisions the major fashion houses are taking that would have been considered utterly unconscionable years ago. Still, I love burgers, and I quite like Chanel. More after the jump.

I think it came from an article on dieting or lifestyle or some such piffle rather than a proper Chanel campaign for their new Animal Fat fragrance, which is why you have that totally asinine quote from Karl Lagerfeld on there. The burger box design reminds me loads of an awesome Japanese McDonald’s campaign where they wanted to no-brand launch the Quarter Pounder. They opened Quarter Pounder restaurants where you only buy a QP, fries or a drink. The Japs went crazy for it and queued around the block. Check it out:
